Chasing My Thirties Entry #2
March 10th 2025
You know, I've always been so open about the ups and downs of my life, but sharing my entries publicly is a different ball game. I also prefer writing in my notebook but documenting the rest of my twenties is a chance I'll never have again, so I might as well go all in. Plus I can always print these out and stick em in my notebook later šāāļø
A lot of life has happened since you've last heard from me. Work is getting BUSY and the busy season has only just begun. Usually around early August is when things slow down a little. I don't mind it really as I like staying busy, but DAMN have I had some difficult files to get through lately. I currently have about 44 loans in my pipeline (which is A LOT of loans) and probably the largest pipeline I've ever worked at once in my entire mortgage career. While I'm very thankful for the work, I'm also grateful for the lessons and knowledge I'm learning along the way. Breaking personal production records is just a bonus.
Speaking of breaking records, I'm going into my sixth year of being in the mortgage industry and what a coincidence, I also just so happen to be coming into my sixth month working with Deephaven Mortgage as a National Account Manager. Seems like a sign from the universe that I'm exactly where I'm supposed to be.
Anyway, back to the record breaking part. So in December, only my third month of being in this new role, I closed a total of twenty-four loans. That's a lot of fucking loans - however, I surpassed that record and closed twenty-six in February! To my non mortgage industry friends, that's a lot of loans and a lot of work. A lot of lunch breaks I worked through and a lot of OT I put in, but at the end of the day I care about the people behind the loans, so to say I'm dedicated is an understatement.
Now for some other news. I'm currently learning e commerce! I've got all the supplies and accounts created, so now I just need to connect the dots and place my first test order before I go live. I want to be able to give an exact eta on when that will be completed, but honestly work is so hectic right now and with my surgery around the corner, I'm just trying to get through life one day at a time.
I have however, completed the first round of edits for my third book, so I've got about two to three more rounds to go before I'm ready for beta readers. So, if all goes according to plan, I should have a completed manuscript by the end of the month. I've made some changes on how I'm ending my third book, but I'll save those details for later. Until then, let's just say I've got some exciting things planned for my readers š
